Our 6th grade students received their yard signs today...thank you PTO for making this possible

During our last PTO meeting for this school year, we said good-bye to two of our board members! Please join us in giving thanks to Jennifer Van Steenwyk for serving on the Board for 2 years as our Auditor. Congratulations and best wishes to her son Luke, as he graduates 6th grade and heads to the STEM program at Turlock Junior High! We also thank Tracey Mcleod for being on our Board for a total of 3 years. Tracey served as the Vice President of Membership for one year and ...as our President for the last 2 years. Congratulations and best wishes to her daughter Aberdeen, as she graduates 6th grade and heads to Dutcher Middle School. Luckily for us, her son still has 3 more years at Walnut so we know we’ll continue to see Tracey around campus helping out in classrooms and assisting at our PTO events. As we approach the end of the school year, one with many challenges, we want to take the time to say Thank You! Thank you for your continued support! Whether you attended a PTO meeting via Zoom, ate out at one of our Dine 2 Donate events, grabbed up a charcuterie box or cookie kit, shopped at our first online auction, brought in your box tops (or better yet, scanned your receipts), OR participated in any activities that we put together, YOU are the reason we had a successfu...l PTO year. With your help, we are able to provide teachers the funds for their classroom supplies, purchase books for our library, and prepare an upcoming teacher appreciation week that we hope leaves our teachers and staff feeling appreciated and loved! We are also excited to help support the celebration of our 6th graders and recognize our retiring teachers and administrators before they start on their new adventures. We are proud to mention that despite our challenging year, we are able to once again provide 4 scholarships to former Magnateers to help them achieve their academic goals.
