Last week my life took a new turn. I have retired from the job I have loved! Over the last 44 years, I have met so many wonderful people that have meant so very... much to me. It has been a week now and it still feels so strange. I want to say how much I have enjoyed all of our patients. So many feel like family, watching their children grow and then them having children as well. We have shared so many memories together, some happy times, and often some sad times. The saddest part for me will be not seeing many of you on a regular basis, however, I am so happy to say my daughter Sarah will be taking my place! And of course the great staff that Chad and Allyn already have in place. At least I can still check on all of you through Sarah! But please know how much you have all meant to me over the years. Good morning! On this fine Monday morning, we are beginning our new campaign to share our reviews that we receive from our satisfied patients! When you leave the office after your appointment, you are sent a quick survey via email to share how your experience went while in our office. Our first share is from a new patient on her first visit! Even though I was a new patient, I didn’t feel like a new patient. The staff and dentist were very friendly. They explained everything every step of the way. I was impressed by the fact that Dr. Oliveira introduced himself as Chad and made me feel like I’d been a patient of his all along. We strive for all our patients to be comfortable and at ease throughout the whole appointment, whether you are walking in as a new patient or coming in after many years!

Hi Facebook family! We are back in business! After having restricted services due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we are at full staff and full operations! If you’ve missed us like we’ve missed you, give us a call for any dental needs!

All of us at Dr Chad Oliveira and Dr Allyn Walker dental office care about your safety and works hard to prevent the spread of infection. Before you enter the examining room, all surfaces, such as the dental chair, dental light, drawer handles and countertops, have been cleaned and disinfected. We also cover equipment with protective covers, which are replaced after each patient. Non-disposable items like the dental tools are cleaned and sterilized between patients. Disposabl...e dental tools and needles are never reused. Infection control precautions also require all dental staff involved in patient care to use appropriate protective equipment such as gloves, masks, gowns and eyewear when needed. After each patient, disposable gloves and masks are thrown away. Before seeing the next patient, everyone on the treatment team washes their hands and put on a new pair of gloves. Your well-being is important us. That’s why infection control procedures are in place at our dental office. With so many news stories, it’s understandable to be concerned about the new coronavirus that causes COVID-19. Please know that the precautions we already takes every day to prevent the spread of infection in our practice also helps prevent the spread of COVID-19. If you are ill with flu-like symptoms, you should reschedule your appointment. If you are healthy, there’s no need to cancel your regularly scheduled dental appointment. It’s important to know that the majority of people infected with the coronavirus experience flu-like symptoms and then recover. Most people do not develop serious respiratory complications. Those most at risk of becoming seriously ill are elderly people and those with underlying medical conditions such as diabetes and kidney disease, among others. Children, thus far, have been largely unaffected. Here are a few things you can do on your own to help keep yourself and those around you healthy: Wash your hands frequently, or use a hand sanitizer with at least 60 percent ethyl alcohol. Avoid touching your face, eyes or nose to reduce the spread of germs. Cover your cough or sneeze with your elbow. Infections like the coronavirus spread through the tiny droplets in coughs and sneezes. Stay home if you feel sick. If you have flu-like symptoms or otherwise feel unwell, stay home and rest. Call to reschedule your appointment for a later date. This will reduce the risk of spreading your illness.

Dr Chad Oliveira had a special visitor today at the office, Frosty the Elf. Frosty watches over the kindergarten class at Kings River Hardwick school. Dr Chad performed a dental exam and was happy to report that Frosty was cavity free. Santa must be teaching him good dental habits of brushing and flossing his teeth. Helping children develop healthy habits to care for teeth while they are young is important. These habits can set the stage for good oral health care throughout their entire life.
