Dear Valued Customers, On Thursday March 19th, 2020 Governor Newsom issued a ‘Stay-at-home’ Executive Order for the state of California in an effort to mitigate the impact of COVID-19 Coronavirus. Governor Newsom stated that the supply chain must continue, and as an ‘Essential Business’ providing food and beverage ingredients to other ‘Essential Businesses’, will remain open. Wachters’ would like to take this opportunity to extend our thoughts and warmest wishes to all our v...alued customers as we all navigate troubled waters and, in one way or another, are impacted by a threat to our health, safety and peace of mind. We take the health and safety of our customers, vendors and employees very seriously. In addition to maintaining our existing rigorous standards of sanitation and cleanliness at our facility, Wachters’ has implemented the following in accordance with CDC guidelines: 1. Where possible, team members are now working remotely and using online conferencing as a tool to maintain effective communication and work relationships between departments. 2. When required to work at our facility, we have enforced social distancing of at least six (6) feet between each team member and we are limiting employees to the minimum required to safely and effectively carry out the necessary workload. 3. All employees are regularly utilizing hand washing facilities with soap and water, and hand sanitizer containing at least 60 percent alcohol, which is positioned at various locations throughout our facility. Wachters’ will continue to serve our customers to the best of our ability and shipments will continue unless there are government-mandated port or business closures. We will keep you informed of ongoing developments if there are any changes that affect the supply chain. We thank you for your understanding and loyalty as we work together to prevent the spread of COVID-19 Coronavirus throughout our country.

As you know this is a very uncertain time there are rumors going everywhere. There is a rumor that everything will be shut down very soon. Not to panic anyone but if you need product you have to order today. We will do our best to get it out tomorrow. Stay healthy and be well.

Every day these past few weeks I get emails from other CEOs about how they are taking the coronavirus very seriously and are doing everything they can to keep their customers safe. I want to assure you that we at Wachters’ are doing the same but I think sometimes in life we need a little humor. So, not making light of the situation in any way I just want to point out some of the things I have learned from this experience. 1. Even though my gym is closed I can get a b...icep workout by squeezing my sanitizing spray bottle throughout the day and I make sure to switch hands so both hands get worked equally 2. I can get a squat workout every time I go to the restroom because even though I sanitize it daily I’m terrified to touch any surface. So just workout my legs at the same time! . 3. I have learned the skills of a right tackle for going to the grocery storemask on, gloves on, head down, go straight for what you need spraying the sanitizer everywhere imaginable. 4. I have learned that when someone is looking for alcohol it isn’t for drinking because the next question is what percent do you have All joking aside this experience has taught me how important the people in my life are and a small act of kindness like sharing your toilet paper, bleach, or just dried beans means the world to someone. After 9/11 I remember an amazing article about how many people didn’t sleep on the coach that night, or called someone they hadn’t called in a long time or just told someone they loved them, let’s not wait for these times of disaster to tell someone you love them or call themdo it every day.
