As most know I am not a politician by trade. So while campaigning for Governor I still work for a living. One aspect of the work I do is my construction business where I still strap on a tool belt and pound nails. That being said, injuries do happen. Hence my shout out to the staff at Kaiser Roseville. Last Monday (9/21) I took a finishing nail about an inch and a half into my right thigh. I didn't think much of it since it didn't bleed and I was current on my tetanus s...hot. Fast forward to Friday night when my leg had swollen up and I was running a fever of 101.8. At the insistence of friends I called Kaiser and was told to come in and have it looked at. I figured a quick stop to the ER some antibiotics and I'd be on my way....... Yeah, not so fast there Mr. Domingo you'll need a Cat-Scan of that leg, a bunch of blood tests, and some IV antibiotics and a three night staycation at Kaiser! All I can say is the staff at Kaiser was phenomenal!! In addition to being phenomenal they were also informative. I always try to learn from my situation so I enquired about the states initial and current response to Covid-19 and what their thoughts and opinions were on said response. Needless to say I learned a lot and will take what I learned into account when I become Governor in 2022. Glad to be back in the saddle again and look forward to meeting as many of you as I can. Whether you believe in Global Warming or you believe we are in Natural Weather Pattern Changes, there is one fact that can’t be disputed. Trees are dying in California at record numbers and the overabundance of underbrush and dead trees are fueling forest fires at an unprecedented rate. Trees have been weakened by drought (no matter what the cause) and made them extremely susceptible to the native bark beetle. It does NOT matter what is causing the death of these trees, it is OUR responsibility as a State to reduce and remove the fuels that spread these fires. It is time to start environmentally responsible Logging in California to reduce the threat of these Mega Fires. It is time California has a Governor that understands and will push to implement proper forest management. #VoteDomingo
