Cheers to all of you local mamas, dads, and educators for finishing your first full week of distance learning! We did it!! Here are my golden nuggets from our growing pains this week. 1Community is EVERYTHING right now. It’s our lifeline with two social extroverts who miss their school buds. 2With Jesus as my strength I can do hard things. Such a great teachable truth for my kids right now. Yes, everyone’s definition of hard differs for many reasons but whatever your... hard is today-you can do hard. 3A backyard trampoline is one of my most treasured assets {who would have thought that ugly thing would be so loved?!} Jumping for recess has been a win. 4 The amount of snacks consumed daily are at a new high over here. Working on a new food method. One word: Costco. 5Worship music is essential. @shaneandshane acoustic version of Turn Your Eyes Upon Jesus has been on repeat this week. Look it up! . . Mixed in with the growing pains have been sweet moments & conversations. Grateful for those moments this past week. Also, here’s a little eye candy from one of my favorite local designers @netti.joy. Kids on zoom & mama on calls. Getting in our fall groove over here. Can we talk about how dreamy this learning station is?!? Not sure if I can decide on my favorite-the wall color, windows, or plants. Let’s be real, the kids laptops are currently on folding tables. Also, wrote this verse on my kitchen chalkboard and its been giving me life lately. He renews my strength. He guides me along right paths, bringing honor to his name. Psalm 23:3. A great reminder of truth for this day!

Impromptu day dates are not cancelled and let me tell you they are essential right now. A babysitter + a slab yard + craftsman homes + @thefillingstationcafe with a side of fries is just what the dr ordered Happy Sunday friends!

School is officially in session & shoes are optional this year. Also, this little darling asked if she could chew gum today because this is a different type of school. Sure is a different type. Navigating uncharted waters & emotions today. Lots of love to all of you mamas doing the same

The new gyms of 2020 are really beautiful . Running West Murrieta’s backroads is where I get my fix of country + city. Dirt roads, roosters crowing, huge oak trees, and farmhouse porches for days. Such beauty Quieting all the noise with a little @katietorwalt. An early morning wake up, workout, & worship is just what this mama needed.
