Starting Tuesday at 7am, all donations to our donorschoose projects will be doubled. Even just sharing this post is helpful. You never know who might see it. We have 2 projects going: One is for basic supplies like reeds, oils, rosin in case students need them during these touch financial times.... The other is for items to help us be able to play wind instruments outdoors. A portable sound system for music, my voice and/or metronome, wind clips to keep the music on the stand, etc. We are hoping our school will be able to provide our musician masks and bell covers. ($3,000). Thank you for considering us. https://www.donorschoose.org//help-us-play-instr/5299661/

Every year, at our final spring choral concert, we perform Yonder Come Day as combined choirs and it’s become such a tradition that past VMS choir members are invited onstage to join and it is always my favorite part of the year to see my students, young and old, performing together. This year we missed that opportunity in person, but managed to pull something together virtually, with the help of Lauren Aadland-Halling, Athena Espinoza, Ryan Clippinger, Kaylen Lash, Jocelyn Lash, Aquila Ewald, Megan Zerby, Megan Kaye Chua, Cat Langen and the members of Valley Middle School choirs. Enjoy!

Jerrod J-rod Sullivan's performance to "Mellow Fusion" is definitely a fusion of mellow and excitable for us! #vfJams #vf5ABRL
It’s Memorial Day here in the United States, a day when we remember those who lost their lives in service to this country. Our celebrations will look different ...this year. There won’t be parades or concerts and most likely no large picnics or barbecues, but we can all still take a moment to remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice. Thank you to Kyle Myers (Kyle Myers Music) for this incredible and dramatic new arrangement. Thank you to photographers James South (Weatherford, OK [email protected]) and Gregory W. Alley (Grand Rapids, MI http://www.tootertutor.com) for sharing their stunning images from across the U.S. From all of us here in San Diego: thank you to the brave men and women of the United States military who lost their lives so we can live in this America The Beautiful.
