As Pacific Gas & Electric's design partner, Vizion attends monthly operational meetings with PG&E. The discussion this past month concerned how to improve customer service and consistency. PG&E is working towards the stability of dedicated applicant design job owners and providing refresher training for all of those employees. This will not only improve global cycle times, but plan checks and design pricing cycle times as well. Consistency throughout the PG&E system is so important. Many times as we work throughout the PG&E territory, from Bakersfield to Eureka, we find many different rules and guidelines being applied. This improvement helps us all. The goal is partnership with PG&E as we work to improve our developer's project timelines.

Wildfires are growing faster and stronger every year. In response, Southern California Edison is implementing new technology to aid in slowing the spread of fire as much as possible. Fire-resistent poles, extra tree pruning and fire monitoring cameras are just a few of the ways SCE is making strides toward a safer future. This month marked 3 years since our beloved Business Operations/HR Manager Latonia Ealy joined our team! Initially, Latonia started as our HR Manager and the position as evolved over time to include Business Operations as well. We sat down with Latonia and asked her the following questions: What do you enjoy most about your role at Vizion Utility Partners? One of the things I love about HR is that it is constantly growing and changing. This year, the world was faced with COV...ID-19, which in turn brought on new rules and compliance requirements. This meant I had to quickly work with the team to implement the ability for the entire office to work remotely all while making sure there was no interruption or impact to our client service expectations. My job is never boring and always challenging. I enjoy working with people and believe strongly that people are the most important and valuable part of any company. What piece of advice would you give to a new employee joining Vizion Utility Partners? If you make a mistake, own it. Learn from the incident and the knowledge gained to help you be successful in the future. Ask questions, take notes, absorb as much as you can. Learn from your colleagues, as they are experienced and their knowledge and expertise will help your professional growth. Do you have a favorite quote?
