BROADWAY THEATER MEMORIES "On Golden Pond" Every Producer and Director knows that there are certain shows where every puzzle piece falls into place....perfectly.. The planets align, and the universe says, 'hey, I got yer back ' And when this happens, the finished project is, well, magical. That was this show for me. Every cast member was perfection in their roles. I loved the show so much we re-mounted it a year later on the Welk Resort Stage where audiences - again - raved about it. Not one iota of the magic was lost. It is very bittersweet for me because, Lou Slocum and Marilyn Wolfe, who played our leads, (Norman and Ethel Thayer), aren't on Facebook to hear me love on them. From 2017 ON GOLDEN POND starring Marilyn Wolfe, Lou Slocum, Holly MacDonald Younghans, Torre Younghans, Douglas Roy Davis and Reese Castin

BROADWAY THEATER MEMORIES: "Tell Me On A Sunday" When I approached my friend, Betsy Glaudini about doing a show at the Broadway, without hesitation she said, YES! We were so honored because Bets has appeared in MAJOR productions all over the country and had a very successful run of THE MARVELOUS WONDERETTES Off Broadway. She was so good in the show which makes this our latest Broadway Memory. From February of 2016, Bets Malone in Andrew Lloyd Weber's - Tell Me On A Sunday. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VVr4DDUZqRc

BROADWAY THEATER MEMORIES: "The Doyle and Debbie Show" For the next couple of weeks we are going to join the throngs of other theaters sharing memories, photos, and clips from past shows and events staged in the Broadway Theater. I will begin with one of the funniest productions we EVER put on our stage, The DOYLE AND DEBBIE show - April of 2016. The production starred San Diego gems Eileen Bowman Sylwestrzak, Phil Johnson, and Douglas Roy Davis. We did a series of You Tube c...lips and Myles Vencill, (who filmed the clips) discovered this morning that the clip below has been viewed on you-tube 6092 times! WHAT? Enjoy Watching till the bitter end - The outtakes will make you wish you were wearing depend undergarments https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZbMhO9-LJL8

As our little theater sits empty - the bills keep coming in. We are looking to raise enough money to pay bills through the end of November. Any amount you can donate would be most appreciated. To all our friends, actors, patrons, and parents of actors please feel free to share this link. The Broadway Theater is the BIGGEST little theater in San Diego, and after 16 years, we are humbled by your support. https://www.facebook.com/donate/591172001777068/10214122406648834/

NOTICE: We have done the responsible thing and postponed our performances of ALADDIN and GLASS MENAGERIE. If the media had said, (and they have), that the sky is falling, I would not put any stock in their reporting. But, when the Governor of our grand state issues a notice about 'gatherings' we are going to abide by the recommendations. We are putting our trust in the people we put in office to do the right thing by us. As a member of this community and this state it's the right thing for us to do at this time.

I have always had a penchant for the classics. I have been in and/or directed everything from Arsenic and Old Lace to Blithe Spirit and everything in between. But this is my first Tennessee Williams. The characters, the dialogue and the relationships formed, broken, and left to flop on the floor of the boat are palpable. This gifted cast brings the show to life at every rehearsal. I hope you will join us for THE GLASS MENAGERIE opening March 5th in the Broadway Theater. TICKETS: (760) 806-7905
