Career Day #2 with Vista Seniors and LAB! Editing is a creative process and there are a lot of great opportunities out there. Said LAB Member and guest speaker, Lawrence (LJ) Jones, who is a writer and producer for Disney. Focusing this session on editing, content building and building your own portfolio, our guest speakers spoke about their experiences, what the trends are now as well as offered tips and encouraging advice. LABer Michael Polier, former editor for film, also spoke about the importance of following through and working hard and ‘asking a lot of questions’ to learn. Thank you to our amazing speakers for sharing your wonderful insights and motivating our seniors.

A thoughtful quote from Dr. Brian Roper, Certified Autism Specialist, asking all of us to see a child beyond his or her diagnosis. Dr. Roper is also our Director of Auxiliary Services for Vista's Baron School Program for Exceptional Children (a part of the Vista School). __ Baron is a private, accredited therapeutic program for children ages 3 to adults 22 years of age. This program is designed for children impacted by autism as well as for those with severe emotional and behavioral challenges, learning disabilities and intellectual delays. #wednesdaywisdom #autsimawareness
