Meet Nancee Borgnine, one of our founding team members at Vista Simi Valley! Bio: Though having worked in senior living previously and now being given the opportunity to be a part of the founding team of Vista at Simi Valley, my early career was a bit different from most; I grew up in the entertainment industry as the daughter of Academy Award winning actor, Ernest Borgnine. Initially I followed the family business and became a theatrical agent, film producer, and PR/marketi...ng executive for a gifting suites company that catered to the various awards shows. My interest in senior living came quite by accident when a friend's parents began frequently inviting me for visits because they they enjoyed my company and said that I made them laugh. I realized when I was there, not only did I make a difference in their lives, but spending time with them was most definitely making a difference in my life as well! So, I found my second career helping seniors and their families understand all that senior living has to offer. I enjoy sharing all that this next chapter of their lives has to offer, which includes making new friends, sharing with their peers, staying active, being connected, and thriving with a balanced lifestyle. Nothing brings me more pleasure than being in a community and hearing the laughter of residents who are truly enjoying themselves and connecting with newfound friends.

Meet Executive Director, Carol Ann, an integral team member and leader in helping shape the future of our Vista community! Bio: Carol Ann joins us from a nationally known senior living provider where she started her career working with seniors needing Alzheimer’s and Dementia Care. Prior to working in Senior Living, Carol Ann pursued a career in teaching and taught for 20 years before retiring to raise her two kids. ... Her plans to return to teaching took a backseat when she began caring for a friend’s mother who had dementia. This caregiving job quickly turned into a full-time responsibility, but then inspired her to work in memory care where she learned the ins and outs of Assisted Living. After five years of working toward a leadership position, she became the Executive Director of the same community where she began her journey. She is so excited to be part of the Northstar team and to have the opportunity to open Vista Simi Valley, where she grew up as a child.
