Surfer's Beach at sunset, during minus tide (in 2019) when the receding water exposes rocky parts of the beach that are usually hidden in the water.

Año Nuevo State Park, south of Half Moon Bay. In addition to its natural beauty, the coastline here is also significant for being the coastal-midpoint of California. If you ever decide to walk from Mexico to Oregon along the coast, this is your halfway point!

"Back in the day, Pescadero a small coastal town about a half-an-hour drive South of Half Moon Bay on Highway 1 was a fishing village. It’s since evolved into more of a farming and ranching community with a one-block main street and has become a popular weekend tourist destination in close proximity to beaches and state parks."

We're heading into the final week of Pumpkin Season here in Half Moon Bay, and it looks like a beautiful weekend for a visit to a local pumpkin farm. Do you have your pumpkins yet?

Why do we love the sea? It is because it has some potent power to make us think things we like to think. Robert Henri #visithmb #visithalfmoonbay #visitcalifornia

Beautiful crisp, clear evening and night for Milky Way photography at the Pigeon Point Lighthouse in Pescadero, CA. This is the last month to photograph the milky way in the northern hemisphere before it disappears into the sunset and blue hour until reappearing in March/April next year.

This weekend would normally be the traditional Pumpkin Festival for our town, so we have pumpkins on our minds. So many stories from the weigh off are heart-war...ming, but this photo kind of sums it all up. Here are three driven over-achievers, the kind of folks that frequent Long Branch often during the "normal times". Both new friends and old friends, they take work ethic to the next level. They care deeply about their craft and applaud victory for each other with an intense respect for what it takes to succeed in an environment where so few of the variables are within anyone's control. Kind of like now. These champions, and all of the farmers are inspiring on a level well beyond the pumpkins. We are proud to have been a part of it. See more

"The 50th annual Half Moon Bay Art & Pumpkin Festival was canceled by COVID, but you cannot explain that to a pumpkin in the business of growing 50 pounds a day on the vine." https://www.sfchronicle.com//Oh-good-gourd-Famous-Half-Moo
