We have waited patiently 9 weeks for this news!! Visions Salon & Spa will officially re open next Tuesday, June 2. At this point, only the hair stylists will be back to work. (State order) I hope soon, we can get our manicurist and esthetic back we will let you know Janet George shared this post last month and it is more appropriate now then ever. Please consider reading this through in preparation for returning to the salon. Thank you in advance... Sorry, no double booking, no extra friends or family "along for the ride". It is going to be so hard not to hug everyone!! Virtual Yes- salon's will reopen- different for every state, every salon. PLACER COUNTY HAIRSTYLISTS are able to legally work now. What can CLIENTS do to help salons navigate a new 'normal' you ask? Know you were missed terribly and your stylists is grateful for your return.... Know safety measures have been created for all involved. Know the importance of coming alone, extra people in a salon compromises everyone. Know your stylist cannot physically work 16 hour days 7 days a week, rest is essential for all.. Know your initial services may take more time. Know that coming in sick isn't an option at all Know that walk-ins will not be an option. Know that rescheduling hundreds of clients will take time... Know that when you arrive you will need to wait until your stylist gives you the go ahead before entering the building, having your cell phone handy in your car will help considerably. Know that your stylist is thrilled to see you but doesn't want or need a hug, your presence is the best hug ever. Know that your health is the biggest concern. Know that your stylist may choose to open at a later date than the state your in has allowed, being respectful of that decision takes an unimaginable load off his/ her brain and heart. Know your stylist has already lost thousands of and has no desire to replace it with a ventilator for either of you, be patient. Know that if your health is already high risk, you need to wait, your health is more important.. Know that a 'soft opening ' will be anything but soft. !! Know that your opinion of the entire situation won't change laws and rules necessary for everyone's safety. Keep the conversation to hair and how we can make you beautiful Know that while trying to connect with your stylist there are hundreds of others attempting the same thing, responses will be slow coming as your stylist is preparing everything and answering everyone simultaneously Know, above all else, no one is more excited about your arrival than your stylist- help make it the best appointment ever!!! Together we can make this work safely for all We’ve missed you!!

We are licensed professionals. Do you know what that means? That means we went to school full time, 40 hours a week, for an entire year, to get to 1600 clinical hours, then passed a two phase exam to prove we knew our stuff. That also means every two years we have to renew our license with 4 additional sanitation hours. We are licensed to touch people. That is a privilege that very few professions have, and one that we, and the state, take very seriously. So seriously that th...e state comes into my salon, at random, and inspects our facilities and procedures with a fine tooth comb. There are major fines for noncompliance and they are not lenient. We are trained and prepared to protect you from infectious disease transmission from ourselves and from others. We literally train for this our entire careers. Long before you were worried about COVID-19, I was worried about HIV, MRSA, Staph, Strep, Tuberculosis and more, FOR YOU. One of the safest places you could possibly be is in my chair, with me. And now we are being forced to stay home, because we are a danger to society. This is a joke. Grocery stores are disgusting and crowded. Lowe’s and Home Depot are disgusting and crowded. Car washes are open. Construction sites are open. Pawn shops are open. Now movie theaters, malls and museums can open! None of these places are trained to keep you safe like we are. Forcing us to close is a misguided feel-good measure that is protecting no one, but is bankrupting salon professionals, who are predominantly women, most with children. If you don’t believe me, look to our politicians and tv personalities. They look fantastic with their fresh haircuts, color and makeup! They feel so safe with their salon professionals that they are still receiving hair and makeup services. They feel like they should still be receiving our services. They just don’t think you should. #REPOST We did not write this however, very true! We miss our job and clients so much!
