Visalia Education Foundation Invites You to the 2nd Annual "For the Love of Art" Event on Thursday, March 5, 2020! 6:00 PM - Auction Item Viewing and Bidding Begins 6:30 PM - Dinner... Tickets are now available and may be purchased online at https://loveofart.ludus.com/index.php for $20 + $1.45 ticket fee or at the Visalia Unified School District Office at 5000 W. Cypress for $20. For the Love of Art will blend together an art show, dinner and silent auction featuring the work of Visalia Unified high school artists. The show and auction may include paintings, pottery, sculptures, leatherwork, woodwork projects, jewelry, fashion designs, welding and more. Proceeds from the items auctioned will be divided equally between the artist and the Visalia Ed Foundation to be used for grants, scholarships and other projects that will benefit VUSD students. Dinner will consist of BBQ tri-tip, rice pilaf, beans, salad, dinner roll, ice tea or lemonade and a dessert. Dinner music will be played by a featured high school orchestra quartet for the enjoyment of attendees. We hope to see you there!

Visalia Education Foundation invites you to the 17th annual BAND SHOWCASE! The event will take place on October 7 at 7:00 PM. The El Diamante, Golden West, Mt. Whitney and Redwood High School bands will perform their half time shows and high school cheer and dance squads will also be performing. Gates open at 5:30 PM. Proceeds from this event help purchase musical instruments and support music and performance programs in our VUSD schools.... Thank you, Visalia Unified School District Office Staff! This year, the Visalia Unified School District office staff selected the Visalia Education Foundation as the recipient for their "Friday Jeans Fundraiser". Staff at the Visalia Unified School District Office located at 5000 W. Cypress are given the chance to wear denim jeans on selected Fridays and make a voluntary donation to a staff-selected non-profit. This year, staff collectively raised $1,795 for Visalia Education... Foundation through this program! The Visalia Education Foundation Board would like to thank those who contributed. Your contributions will help VEF continue their support of VUSD students through scholarships and will provide additional teacher mini and major grants for innovative classroom projects that increase student access to classroom technology and other educational enhancements!

***UPDATE: The date of the VEF fundraiser "For the Love of Art" dinner and art auction has been changed. The caterer that we were using for that event was one of the restaurateurs that was devastated by the downtown Visalia fire on December 26, 2018. The new date for our event is FRIDAY, APRIL 5, 2019.

"Note-Worthy Instrument Collection" to benefit VUSD Students! April 28, 2-6 PM at A&W Central Valley, California Restaurant on Mooney Blvd in Visalia... Please come and donate your old instruments! You will receive a tax write off for the value of your instrument and a free root beer float! You won't lose a penny, but you will help a child in need! The Visalia Education Foundation is pleased to announce that scholarship applications for 2018 graduating Visalia Unified School District seniors are now available. All information and forms may be downloaded from the "Student Scholarships" section of the VEF website at http://www.visaliaedfoundation.org/.
