Sunday, February 28,2021at 10:00 AM will be a virtual service on Twitter, Fresno Nishi Honpa Hongwanji for the February Shotsuki Hoyo Service athe Visalia Buddhist Church. Anyone who wishes to attend the service in person, are asked to wear a mask and maintain social distance during the service with Reverend Nakata.

I apologize for the lack of posts, however Facebook changed its format and I was unable to figure out how to do posts until today. January is the month of Ho-onko, the anniversary service of the death of Shinran Shonin, (5/21/1173 to January 16,1263) the founder of Jodo Shinshu Buddhism in Japan.

We will be having an actual ringing of the Koncho Bell on December 31,2020 between 4:00 and 5:00 PM, to celebrate and welcome the New Year. In consideration of the Corona Virus State of Emergency, the Board of Directors of the Visalia Buddhist Church elected to cancel the Sukiyaki Dinner for the health and safety of all. Our Hanamatsuri Service and Luncheon scheduled for Saturday, April 11, 2020 has also been cancelled.
