VPLC Featured speaker for October is Tamara Ravalín, Ed.D. VUSD Superintendent Visalia Pride Lions Zoom Meeting (Contact Lion Jon Ward for link) is set for October 19, 2020 6:30 PM All are welcome to join us.... Dr. Tamara Ravalín currently serves as the Superintendent for Visalia Unified School District. She has served in public education for over 35 years. Her previous assignments include Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources Development, Assistant Superintendent of Educational Services for the Kings County Office of Education and Dean of Student Services for the College of the Sequoias. Dr. Ravalín earned a Doctorate in Educational Leadership and Administration from the University of the Pacific. She also holds a Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction, a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Arts and Technology. Dr. Ravalín holds an Administrative Services Credential, a Multiple Subjects Teaching Credential, and Single Subject Teaching Credentials in Industrial and Technology Education and Home Economics with supplemental authorizations in Mathematics, Computers, and Art. Calling all Lions Clubs and friends of Lions. Come on out and take the challenge to fight diabetes. Sign your team up, race the month of November, and see what teams create the most revenue for the City of Hope Diabetes Innovation Fund. All proceeds will go to the City of Hope in the name of the various clubs who join the challenge. If you don't have enough Lions to fill your team, no worries, sign up friends and family. Create as many 5 person teams for your club as you can. A minimum of $50 will go to the City of Hope for every 5 person team that registers. Additional donations will be made based on team rankings at the end of the race. So who thinks they can best VPLC? The challenge is out there, so come on and see if you can best the Pride.

Calling all Lions Clubs and friends of Lions Clubs. Come on out and support VPLC's virtual race to fight Diabetes. All proceeds for this virtual race go to the City of Hope in the name of the clubs who participate. The race goes from 1-30 NOV and rankings are based on most miles travelled. Teams are made up of 5 members and each Lions club can have more than one team. A Lions club can also have non-Lions on their team or can make up an additional team for their club. A club can register as many teams as they like. Registration is $30 per member and cool swag will go to every registrant. See you on the course.
