Thank you to all of our Members for your 4 and 2 legged friendships! We wish everyone in our Community a Very Happy Holiday! We hope your doggie(s) made the Nice list!
Excuse our Construction at the park today! Wonderful volunteers are pouring an extension to the concrete pad at the Big Dog gate entrance and we’ll be making welding improvements to the direction of the way the gate swings to provide more protection for owners and dogs! Please keep your dogs away from the wet cement and enter through the small dog side or off of Malvasia Court for the next day or so! Thank you for your understanding and thank you to our wonderful volunteers (TJ & Barry) for all their hard work with this BIG project!

VDP Members and Friends...do you recognize this local Templeton Dog? He was found in the Templeton Park this afternoon.
Sharing so we can all be on the lookout for this lost 7 month old pup that went missing in Templeton!
A friendly reminder of how to do a quick check of the ground before taking your dogs out in the heat. Stay cool and stay safe!
Wait for it...wait for it...it’s all about the last sentence! Let’s see what you’ve got?!
Q: Can dogs get sunburned? A: Yes! Dogs are especially vulnerable to the sun if they have short fur or light skin, or if their coat has been shaved. Ears, noses, and bellies are easily burned areas. To protect your pup you can apply special dog sunscreen put a light shirt on her, or just keep her out of the sun during peak hours.
Q: What are the best dogs for introverts? A: Greyhounds and Whippets are quiet and sweet, and they love to lounge on the couch at home. Shiba Inus are aloof to strangers and uninterested in meeting people. There's no magic answer, though - all dogs are different. The best way to find a good match is to meet a dog in person and see it its temperament meshes well with yours!
