Hey all you cool cats and kittens! Halloween looks a little different this year, but nothing stops our Halloween-loving team from celebrating our favorite holiday! We are super disappointed that our annual haunted house event is not happening this year (because, 2020), but this just means we’ll be back next year scarier than ever! Have a fun and safe Halloween, friends!

A heartfelt welcome back! We have always put our patients and team's health and safety first and will continue to do so as we re-open our doors once again! During the shelter in place our team has been busy reinforcing what we have always done to keep our patients safe and secure as well as implemented additional steps so that we could re-open with confidence. Here's what you can expect at your next visit: We are implementing a curbside waiting room where you will call or... text us from your car when you arrive and a team member will let you know when you’re ready to be seen. Please wear a mask or alternative nose/mouth covering prior to entering the office. Please use hand sanitizer located at the front entry as well as throughout the office. We will review some wellness screening questions with you and also measure your temperature using a touchless forehead thermometer. You will notice that our reception area has been simplified with magazines, beverages, cloth chairs, and other difficult to sanitize items removed. To practice social distancing and to reduce the number of patients in the reception area, we kindly ask that family members or guests stay home or wait outside for the duration of your appointment. Medical grade air purifiers have been placed in treatment rooms and common areas to help cleanse the circulating air. Additional time has been scheduled between appointments for a thorough and deep cleaning of the treatment rooms. We look forward to seeing you again soon!

Dr. Tin and Terry drove all over Sacramento County yesterday to drop off surprise care packages to each member of our team. Each care package came with an invitation to a [FaceTime] pizza party (and included our favorite @loumalnatis Chicago deep dish pizza!) as well as a reminder of brighter days. Sadly, we don’t get to celebrate the four of you in person this week, but we are grateful to do it in health and with our families safe beside us. Almost one month ago, we made a decision to temporarily close our dental practice to do our part in mitigating the spread of COVID-19. This is an extremely challenging and uncertain time for everyone, and we aren’t sure how much longer it will take to get back to normalcy. One thing we do know for certain is that our healthcare providers on the frontlines are in desperate need of PPE. We are forever grateful to all doctors, nurses, first responders, and countless others who ...are putting themselves at risk to fight this pandemic. We can’t thank these superheroes enough for their sacrifices. To do our part, we donated masks, gloves, wipes, gowns, etc. to two of our local hospitals. But, we are even prouder of two of our incredible team members, Christine and Bettina, who have volunteered their time and resources to make countless face masks for donation. Christine, whose husband owns @Dadoheads, a small business that makes use of an industrial laser to create custom fabrications out of wood, plastic, and other materials, thought of a way to utilize her husband’s machinery during this crisis to instead make masks for healthcare workers. Using donated fabric, @dadoheads equipment expeditiously cut THOUSANDS of face mask templates and handed the fabric off to volunteer seamstresses like Bettina, who in between homeschooling and running after a toddler and infant, is spending all her free time sewing mask after mask for donation. They are a part of a local community organization called @facemaskmakerswithlove, a volunteer group dedicated to getting PPE into the hands of healthcare workers and first responders. As horrible as this virus is, the way we all come together to support those on the frontlines will be the bigger story. Dear Villa Vista Dental patients and families, We have been closely monitoring the rapidly changing COVID-19 situation as it has evolved into a pandemic. Through this difficult period, we want to assure you that we are committed to the safety and well-being of our patients, team members, and communities. As per CDA (California Dental Association) recommendations, Villa Vista Dental is postponing all nonessential or non-urgent dental care for the next 14 days. Rest assured, Dr.... Tin and our team will still be available for you during this time to address any urgent or emergency issues that may arise. This is obviously a fluid situation, so we’ll be monitoring and adjusting our plans and timeline accordingly. If you have an appointment scheduled within March 16 through March 30, 2020, we will be in contact with you shortly to reschedule your visit.
