Village Of Prayer 02.11.2020

Gracious and powerful Lord, forgive us for what we have done! I pray today to repent for my sins and the sins of other men. Lead us away from our wicked and evil temptations, better understanding that only through loving you shall we be saved. Only your kingdom and glory are true, mighty God. Amen.

Heavenly Father, the seeds of your love have grown throughout the world. I, as a humble seed, ask that you help my faith grow stronger, so that I too can spread your love. Forgive me for causing harm to another person, and help me apologize to those that I have wronged. With your grace, I ask that you help me love my neighbor as myself, or better yet, love my neighbor as I love you, O Lord. Amen.

Anger & Vengeance Written by Halo Harris for giveyourwitness Ministries on May 29,2020 For we know him who said, Vengeance is mine; I will repay. And again, ...The Lord will judge his people. Hebrews 10:30 Babylon (America) is falling. Racism, social injustice, murder, lies, and deceit is not new for this country or anywhere else in the world. As an African American woman, I have seen these things my entire life. In the past, I’ve acted emotionally towards every social issue and took on many burdens of emotions for the culture. But as I grow and progress into a Woman Of God, I find that my anger is justified but my right to sin is still null and void. Be angry and do not sin; do not let the sun go down on your anger, and give no opportunity to the devil. Ephesians 4:26-27 Have you ever heard the expression anger is the wind that blows out the lamp of the mind? It means when you’re overtaken by a spirit of anger, it blinds you and Sears your consciousness causing you to act out in your anger and nothing else. It is a spirit at work. Now the Spirit expressly says that in later times some will depart from the faith by devoting themselves to deceitful spirits and teachings of demons, through the insincerity of liars whose consciences are seared. 1 Timothy 4:1-2 The Word of God says, But I say to you who hear, Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who abuse you. To one who strikes you on the cheek, offer the other also, and from one who takes away your cloak do not withhold your tunic either. Give to everyone who begs from you, and from one who takes away your goods do not demand them back. And as you wish that others would do to you, do so to them. ... Luke 6:27-36 God is not telling you to do this because you are weak. It takes great strength and humility to not act in anger in the presence of a fool! When you display expressions of God’s love towards your enemy is causes you to see them in their true spiritual place; frighten, confused, and broken. Discerning the spiritual root of their misbehavior will sometimes cause you to have compassion for them. Many people in this world are untrained, untaught and many of them feel unloved. That is why they behave the way they do, but in prayer, when you are open to the spirit of the Lord and have a heart of flesh, can see this and begin to love on them through prayers! Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse them. Romans 12:14 This is a very challenging thing to do amid anger but James 3:5 says, the tongue is a small part of the body, but it makes great boasts. Consider what a great forest is set on fire by a small spark. Do not rejoice when your enemy falls, and let not your heart be glad when he stumbles, proverbs 24:17 Rejoicing when your enemy falls or stumbles is a part of seeking vengeance for yourself, we must remember the word of God also says, Whoever digs a pit will fall into it; if someone rolls a stone, it will roll back on them.- Proverbs 26: 27 our heart should desire for The Lords Will to prevail, and God wishes for no man to perish but come into repentance. (2 Peter 3:9). We should not rejoice when they stumble. It’s mean-spirited and makes you no better than the person who is persecuting you. You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ But I say to you, Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, so that you may be sons of your Father who is in heaven. For he makes his sun rise on the evil and the good and sends rain on the just and the unjust. For if you love those who love you, what reward do you have? Do not even the tax collectors do the same? And if you greet only your brothers, what more are you doing than others? Do not even the Gentiles do the same? ... Matthew 5:43-48 Got premises vindication against those who persecute you through his Vengeance. We must remember that His ways are not our ways, and his thoughts are not our thoughts. We should wait on the Lord and be constant and fasting and praying especially in times of anger that can cause us to go to a place of rage. To the contrary, if your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him something to drink; for by so doing you will heap burning coals on his head. Romans 12: 20 I believe this deep-rooted issue we are facing in today's climate is the people do not respect or want to hear the word of God OVER THEIR EMOTIONS, but the word of God instructs us to deny ourselves and follow his commandments. If we truly believe that God is God, then we must believe that he will seek vengeance upon those who harm us. My article is in the way to invalidate your pain, your pain is valid. However, my article is to remind you of the word of God so that you are always in the will of the Father. Your weeping may endure for a night, but joy will come in the morning. Believe.

Lawlessness A poem by Halo Harris for giveyourwitness ministries on May 31,2020 the year of our Lord: I’ve seen the injustice, ... I’ve experienced it’s sting. We have screamed to the heavens, When will You let freedom ring? I am mad at my oppressor, I am mad at those who seem to be doing well. Is America my enemy? Or am I under a spell? I am screaming my life matters, Because it matters to me, I am lost in my emotions, In a tormenting sea. I can’t eat, I can’t sleep, I can’t think, I can’t breathe. I am willing to do everything, except drop to my knees. I am fighting for equal rights, Will my oppressor hear me? Am I really as bad as they say? Or is it that they fear me? I’m trying to find my place, In a space that I call home And if the Lord is with me, why do I feel so alone? I want peace, I want justice, I want equal pay. We have screamed for centuries, but we still have not found our way. I’m tired of waiting on the Lord, So this time I will loot and riot, And I’m justified when I steal, Because they know I cannot afford to buy it. Am I wrong?

In and Out of season Written by Halo Harris for giveyourwitness ministries on June 1, 2020, the year of our Lord: Preach the word; be prepared in season and o...ut of season; correct, rebuke and encourage--with great patience and careful instruction. 2 Timothy 2:4 The word of God has instructed us to preach the gospel in and out of season. Our obedience in the word is not contingent based upon the climate of the world, but of the spirit and the will of God. Though the LORD is great, he cares for the humble, but he keeps his distance from the proud (Psalm 138:6). Our humility and faithfulness in God will keep us close to him in times of turbulence in trouble. The world may be in extreme chaos, but the people of God have nothing to fear, So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. - Isaiah 41:10. Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths (Proverbs. 3: 5-6). Our trust in the Lord is a requirement now more so than ever, and since we know, no good thing comes from the flesh (Romans 7:18), we cannot trust it in times of persecution and anger. But we should be more like Christ, and ask our Father to forgive them ( those who have wronged us) because they know not what they do (Luke 23:34). Surely the Lord sits high and looks low, and sees the injustice and bias his chosen people face every day. The word of God says, What is the price of two sparrowsone copper coin? But not a single sparrow can fall to the ground without your Father knowing it. - Matthew 10: 29. God knows and sees all things, that’s why he told us that he will avenge us, and we have only to do nothing but stand. Ephesians 6:13 says, Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. An indication that your armor has been penetrated is emotionalism that would cause you to act out in sin. Be angry but sin not (Ephesians 4:26). Perhaps, if we examine this fully we can see that our issue goes deeper than racism, classism, and any form of bias man could produce. This is a spiritual battle and spiritual warfare that has been happening long before we were in existence on this earth. And if we trust God with our souls, families, jobs, finances, livelihood, health, and well-being; then we should trust his word in our time of trial and tribulation. If the good Lord has never left or forsaken in us before, why don’t we believe that He will see us through now? I come to speak the gospel of Christ, and nothing but the gospel. I’ve denied myself, and I pushed aside my feelings as an African-American woman in America, and I still stand on the word of God, because I know that he shall fight for me, and others like me, and God Shall put an into all social injustice and any type of deceit you can think of. In the end, we all have to pay an account for the things we have done and said, and nobody gets away with anything. When we remind ourselves of that truth, of that love, of that gospel of Christ, we can go forward and endure and trust that the Lord will avenge us. In this hour, Our power is in being still. Run well.
