UPDATE #7: Miracle Puppy of Hwy. 132 has been released from Village Oak Vet and onto his home of his foster parents! I cannot thank Dr. Lacy and the very though...tful, caring and beautiful staff at Village Oak enough! The care and generosity they have shown to our miracle puppy and us is indescribable. They are amazing humans. And our miracle pup has a new name...drum roll please...Benjamin! His new adopted momma who resides in Texas felt that name best fitted him. And if you knew the human Benjamin he is named after, you all would agree. So, to each and everyone one of you...whether I/we know you or not, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your kind words, thoughts and prayers, cheerleading, encouragement, cornern and donations for this little guy. Benjamin is already prospering! It's a good day! THANK YOU!!! See more

A great big thank-you to Marti Banks and Chase Austin for all the fabulous paw print masks!!! They have all found a face!

Simply touch the pavement with the back of your hand for seven seconds. If you can't hold out for the full seven seconds because the surface is too hot, then it's also too hot for your dog's paws.

We are so fortunate, we don’t have to social distance from our patients! At 1.4 lbs Missy would be difficult not to snuggle. Please remember we are here for your diets and medications. Urgent and emergency cases. Stay safe and snuggle your pets.

Yes we are here, in a modified Corona sort of way! We are only seeing urgent and emergency patients, and clients are waiting in their vehicles. We are still seeing puppies because we really don’t want a Parvo outbreak on top of everything and they make us smile!!! This guy is named Brock and he is an Olde English Bulldogge, our fun for the day!!

Unfortunately the cats are not keeping a reasonable distance during the Corona virus outbreak and we are starting to see pregnant cats. While we are not pushing elective procedures at this time, it would be smart to get these kitties spayed.

In response to the on going concerns over Corona Virus and it’s potential impact, Village Oak is implementing the following changes: Medication refills can be mailed, please allow a couple of days for us to arrange this, so plan ahead and don’t run out. Also, refills of medications and diets can be brought out to your vehicle. Please call when you arrive in our parking lot and one of our staff will help you. In an e...ffort to still offer quality care while maintaining public safety, we request you remain in your vehicle until we are ready to see your pet. Please contact us by phone when you have arrived, and we will send out staff to escort you and your pet to an exam room. We will conduct your entire visit in the exam room, which is disinfected between every client. We are committed to the health of our work family, our clients and our patients. We are working within the recommended guidelines of the CDC and the AVMA to keep our hospital free of the virus. We will keep you updated as changes become necessary. Stay safe! See more
