Victory Club Opening Update. Hello Victory members and friends. We miss you all and hope you are doing well and staying safe. We are very anxious to open as soon as possible, and serve our valued members once again. Unfortunately we cannot open just yet due to the restrictive 6 foot social distancing mandates, which make it impossible to conduct Jiu-Jitsu classes, as well as Striking classes. In the meantime we are continuing to improve the club in many ways, such as new Jiu-Jitsu and Striking mats, new saunas, a new sound system, and fresh paint. Please know that we are monitoring the situation daily in the hope that we can open and proudly serve our members soon. Thank you for your patience and understanding during this absurd crisis. And remember, Fight For What You Believe.

ON A PERSONAL NOTE It is amazing that in the middle of this crisis and individual struggles that so many of our members have expressed well wishes and support, as well as true concern for the club. It is evidence that Victory MMA has such a loyal and dedicated family. VICTORY MEMBERSHIPS SUSPENDED (ALL MONTHLY DUES PAYMENTS FROZEN) ... Due to recent Government mandates, Victory MMA and Fitness must remain closed until further notice. We will open as soon as permitted, looking better than ever, and providing the best MMA based services in the world once again. Effective as of April 1, all Member’s monthly dues payments will be suspended. Members with annual Paid in Full memberships will have their membership time extended. There is no action necessary by Members to suspend payments or extend membership time. We will do that automatically. Members who are suspended and reactivated will be protected from possible increases in monthly dues for a period of at least one year. Suspended memberships will be reactivated when the club reopens. If anyone has questions or needs additional action, please call our bookkeeping department Monday thru Friday, from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM.

VICTORY MMA WILL CLOSE, EFFECTIVE THURSDAY, MARCH 19 ... Dear Victory Members, Unfortunately, all gyms have been ordered to close by the County of San Diego. Consequently, Victory MMA and Fitness will close, effective Thursday, March 19, 2020, and is scheduled to reopen in 12 days. We tried our best to remain open to serve our member’s needs, while also abiding by the Government’s rapidly changing safety requirements. Nevertheless, with this new law in place, we must postpone operations until Tuesday, March 31. It is with great sadness that we must now sit on the sideline, while this virus engulfs so many in fear and harms so many others. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of our valued members and all Americans. Thank you all once again for your continued patronage and support. We know that you are all fighting this fight and that you will all be Victorious. You can be sure that Victory MMA and Fitness will be no exception. We will not only survive this ordeal, but we will be here every day making our facility better, and preparing for your return. God bless each and every one of you, and God bless this great country. Dear Victory Members, We are open for business, but effective Tuesday, March 17, we have temporarily postponed our Jiu-Jitsu and wrestling classes until March 31, due to the City’s social distancing mandate. Most all striking and exercise classes will continue as scheduled, and all exercise areas throughout the gym will be open, with social distancing protocols in place. As we said before, we will remain open to serve our members, but we must now only serve members within ...the social distancing and other guidelines delineated by our City government. In addition, we need everyone that is in a high risk category, such as the elderly, those with repertory illness, immunity deficiencies, and diabetes, etc. (See CDC Recommendations), to temporarily refrain from entering our facility for these next two weeks. Those members who are caregivers or who come in close contact with others who are in the high risk category should also take that precaution. And obviously if anyone is experiencing even the slightest symptoms, they should not come to Victory MMA until cleared by a medical professional. Also, anyone that recently returned from another country, and non-local guests will be precluded from training at Victory until further notice. While we have increased our cleaning and disinfecting regiments, there is no substitute for implementing the precautions delineated by the City of San Diego, and diligently adhering to the six (6) foot social distancing mandate, which we will strictly enforce. We at Victory remain cautiously optimistic that this situation will be similar to past challenges of this nature, which we will similarly overcome shortly. We encourage everyone to remain calm, avoid rumor and speculation, and rely on information from credible sources like our state and local governments. In conclusion, while we remain open to serve our Members, we are hopeful that everyone will make the appropriate personal choice as to their own personal behavior, including the mandates delineated above, as well as the recommendations delineated on the County of San Diego and CDC website at cdc.gov. We will keep everyone updated if we alter our present plan, and look forward to serving our members and seeing you at the gym. We recognize that recent developments relative to the Corona virus may be of concern, and therefore want to update and inform our Members of our status here at Victory MMA and Fitness. In addition, please note that we always use a disinfectant product that is specially designed for high traffic gyms and hospitals, that kills a wide and comprehensive variety of staff and other bacteria and viruses. Also, in addition to using this specialized product, Victory staff has increased our cleaning and disinfecting regiments. Day staff will be applying disinfectant product to surfaces, mats, and floors on a consistent basis throughout the time that the club is open. Other items and areas will be wiped and/or sprayed down periodically. The Victory evening cleaning staff will be increased, and will engage in a through deep cleaning and disinfectant regiment of all areas each evening. While not making predictions, we at Victory remain cautiously optimistic that this situation will be similar to past challenges of this nature, which we will similarly overcome shortly. We encourage everyone to remain calm, avoid rumor and speculation, and rely on information from credible sources like the CDC website at cdc.gov. In conclusion, while we remain open to serve our Members, we are hopeful that everyone will make the appropriate personal choice as to their own personal behavior, including the caveats delineated above, as well as the recommendations delineated on the CDC website. Congrats to the Kid’s Jiu-Jitsu team who competed in NAGA (North American Grappling Association) last Saturday at the Play by Play Convention Center in San Marcos. Along with members from our adult team, there were 12 Warrior kids competing in both Gi and No Gi divisions. Over 50 other teams competed and our kids came away with numerous medals, including an expert division belt , 7 swords and a quite a few 2nd and 3rd place medals.
