Please donate to the Veterans of Foreign Wars Season Of Giving Program Your donation will help provide a Veteran and their family, in need of assistance, with a great holiday gift. The Rancho Cucamonga VFW/Frito-Lay Season of Giving Turkey Program was established in 2016. It’s aim is to assistance area veteran‘s families in need of assistance, who are unemployed or underemployed, during the holiday season. ... Throughout, these sad and difficult times of COVID-19, and due to the business restrictions, our Post has operated well below last year’s business production. Subsequently, we are reaching out to friends of the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) for donations. This Thanksgiving, VFW Post 8680, Rancho Cucamonga, along with Frito-Lay will provide Veteran’s families, in need of assistance, with a voucher for a Stater Bro.'s pre-cooked Turkey with side dishes. Each Turkey with side dishes feeds a family of six (6). Additionally, each Veteran will receive numerous Frito-Lay products and a gift card for incidentals. Veterans referred the S.O.G. Program do not need to be a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. Last year’s S.O.G. Program was a huge success. Fifty-two veteran’s families participated in the program. Over 95% of Veterans who participated in the Program were referred by a Counselor in the E.D.D., Veterans Section, or a Counselor from the San Bernardino Veterans Center. Criteria: Must have Veteran I.D. or DD-214. Must be a Veteran family in need of assistance. Minimum of 3 per family.
