Boo! Happy Halloween everyone! Just a friendly safety reminder to bring flash lights or glow sticks while out trick or treating with your kids and always check each piece of candy for tampering such as tears or holes .

Health tip : It's cold and flu season! No one likes being sick especially trying to get over long lingering coughs . Here's some tips to avoid this: 1. Get a flu shot from your doctor, local clinic, or Walgreens when feeling healthy. 2. Always wash your hands when coming home to avoid spreading outside germs. 3. Take your vitamin C either naturally from citrus fruits, kiwis, pineapples, mangoes, strawberries, kale, red and green bell peppers, broccoli, cauliflowe...r, etc... or powder Emergen-C packets. 4. Don't go near people who are sick and if you do, wash your hands and avoid touching your face until you do. 5. Once you start to feel a cold or flu coming on, take immediate action and take some aspirin to help your body fight off fever or use Alka Seltzer Cold tablets. Also try gargling warm salt water. Cleaning tip : You can lift out many stains from your carpet with vinegar: Rub light carpet stains with a mixture of 2 tablespoons salt dissolved in 1/2 cup white vinegar. Let the solution dry, then vacuum. For larger or darker stains, add 2 tablespoons borax to the mixture and use in the same way.
