We are excited to announce the selection of Patrick Jaime to fill the vacancy of the office of 2019-2020 Western Region VOA Vice President of Communication. Pat...rick will be serving in this role effective immediately. Patrick Jaime joined Venturing at the age of 14 to serve as a leader, apply what he learned from Scouting, and to constantly challenge himself. He is from the Mount Diablo Silverado Council in Pleasant Hill, California, and served most recently as the 2018-2019 Area 3 VOA President. Patrick has both attended and staffed National Youth Leadership Training (NYLT), National Advanced Youth Leadership Experience (NAYLE), attended National Leadership Seminar (OA NLS), and completed Wood Badge with his 2 beads. Patrick is an Eagle Scout with 120 merit badges and 19 Eagle Palms, a Venturing Summit Award Recipient, and both a Council and Area Venturing Leadership Award Recipient. He is also a Vigil Honor Member of the Ut-In Sélica Lodge and has served as a lodge officer. Patrick is currently a second-year student at Diablo Valley College and is on track to graduate with an Associate's Degree in Administration of Justice. Patrick is looking forward to transfer to a 4-year university in pursuit of a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice and further pursue a career in law enforcement. Patrick plans to utilize the Region VOA’s Communication Team to keep Venturers informed through social media, newsletters, and websites to share opinions and positive feedback.
