Thank you to all of those who contributed to the Ventura Education Partnership Diverse Book Drive for Ventura Unified School District students! By giving these important books to our students, it allows Westside kids to see themselves in these stories. It encourages lifelong learning for all students. Thank you all again!

Ventura County Residents or those that work in our County can register for vaccines if they are in Phase 1a Tier 1, 2, 3. If you are not in the current phase do... not register. When you show up at the vaccine site you will have to show proof that you are in the current phase and that you live or work in our County. Our page details the instructions but when you are taken to the State registration page it does allow anyone to register. Please follow the instructions on our page and only register if you are in the current phase otherwise you will be turned away at the vaccine site and you will take a spot for someone who is in the current phase. We wish we could vaccinate everyone now. We are advocating for more vaccines so we can vaccinate more people and move through the phases quickly. Please review Phase 1a Tier 1, 2 and 3 before registering. https://www.venturacountyrecovers.org/vaccine-information// Registration portal: https://www.venturacountyrecovers.org/vaccine-information//

This is to let you know about a multi-story, mixed-use project in the downtown area that will be heard next week at the Wednesday City of Ventura Design Review Committee meeting at 6pm online. The project proposed at 701 E. Santa Clara St. includes 3 warrants, which are exceptions to the city's requirements. The proposal is a conceptual proposal at this time. We will keep you posted when we know more and will provide a link to the agenda and staff report when it is available. We want everybody to have a "heads-up."
