Dear VGF Families, We wanted to reach out and provide you with as much information as we are being given. At this time USA Softball is telling us to follow our local laws regarding Social Distancing. We have all heard the Statewide Order to ask all of California to stay at home with no exact dates or time as to when this order will be lifted. Information regarding baseball/softball seasons being cancelled or postponed to a later date have gone out to little leagues and softb...all leagues in our area. We understand this makes hopes of a softball season questionable but, we also feel that we need to pause, collect ourselves and review all information before making decisions. Our Board has already been asked questions about refunds, canceling the season, and even All Stars. The truth is that we do not have any of those answers. This is an unprecedented situation and we are taking it day by day. What we do know, for now, is that we are suspending all activities until further notice. In the coming weeks our Board will be meeting to discuss and review the information from the CDC, the county health department, and USA Softball. Our goal, as always, is to come up with the best option for Ventura Girls Fastpitch. It is our sincere hope that we can find ways to bring everyone back to the Softball fields this season, whether that’s later this spring or throughout the summer. Good evening VGFP families, Effective, , Ventura Girls Fastpitch will be suspending all league activity due to the Coronavirus (COVID-19). This includes all scheduled games and practices. As this situation is rapidly changing we plan to revisit this suspension with updated information on or before March 26th, 2020. We look forward to getting back on the field as soon as possible and will continue to update you if there are any changes.
