Re: Ventura Parks and Rec Commission Meeting November 12, 2020 4 pm (Zoom) Pickleball Court Reservations at DeAnza/Harry Lyon and Juanamaria Park Greetings Players and Friends,... We wanted to inform you about the Ventura Parks and Rec Commission meeting coming up this week on Thursday, November 12, 2020, starting at 4:00 pm. This is a Zoom meeting. On the agenda is discussion regarding securing permanent court reservation status for pickleball playtimes at DeAnza/Harry Lyon and Juanamaria Park. John Harader will be our representative during the meeting to address the Commission and answer questions (thank you, John, and many thanks to Eric for your support!) We would like to encourage you to join in via zoom, and also, you may submit comments to the Commission via email by 2 pm on the meeting date, and you can also make public comments while the meeting is in progress. Instructions are found on Page 2 of the agenda packet, along with info on how to access the meeting, and the agenda itself. In light of current status of the Corona virus outbreak, and taking into account the restrictions set forth by the order, it is not tenable for us to hold group play at this time. Therefore, we are suspending group play until further notice/until the order is lifted at all of our locations: De Anza/Harry Lyon, Juanamaria Park, and the Ventura Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints gym (already closed).

Ventura County orders Residents 75 years or older have been ordered to stay in their homes until at least April 1. The order also includes anyone 70 or older who have other medical conditions.
