So.... This sexy beast ‘Big Blue’ came back to my shop for a simple tune-up... After doing the tune-up, I took it for a test ride & it threw the rod!! Time for a new hot rod 212cc engine! #bikelife

I installed some rollers to control the chain vibrations at high speed, & then took it out for a speed run... 56 MPH!! Not bad for a mostly stock motor with 12/54 gears

My newest experiment... AFR gauge welded into a minibike exhaust pipe. Now I’ll be able to tune carburetors better!! *edit*... this will be used as a tuning tool to choose the best jets. I will remove the pipe from the bike after the best jets are found.

Here’s a real short video showing how I check the exact timing on a 212cc Predator engine

New Predator 212 minibike engine is on the operating table... ARC billet rod, decked case, flat top piston, billet flywheel, Black Mamba cam, Champion rockers... timing is set to 32 BTDC. Just waiting on the big valve head to come back from the machine shop. When I installed the flywheel on the engine, the timing was way off at 36 with the stock timing key!!!!... I had to use a 4 timing key in the reverse position to set the time correctly. See more

I got the 212 engine bolted in today... Monday I’ll try to get the brake caliper mount welded on. This is still just a mock-up!!!
