With the pause of the USAC Track Olympic Development Program earlier in the summer, a new developmental program has emerged: the American Sprint Cycling Program ("American SCP"). Led by past ODP member Rex Ainslie, this new sprint-based program aims to pick-up where the ODP left off: identifying and developing budding US sprint talent with an eye towards Paris 2024 and LA 2028. The American SCP is a San Diego-based non-profit composed of some of the most talented athletes in ...America who collectively hold numerous US National Championships, US National Records, and top-10 placings at the UCI Junior World Championships.
