Great day today, racers! We brought in some hardware today, with Mackenzie getting 3rd, Brittney getting 2nd, Louis getting 2nd, and Chris getting 3rd. Louis and Chris got 3rd in the three man, and Louis, Chris, and Tabetha got 2nd in the three mix. Mackenzie and Brittney got 3rd in their two girl, and Mackenzie got 1st in her pool 3 mix. Gilbert, Kaiti, Clarisse, and Gauge all skated their hardest, but fell a little short of the podium. We are very proud of all of our skaters and we're excited for tomorrow!

Hesperia Days 2012 is just around the corner! The 5K run/walk/skate is on Saturday, September 15 at 8 am. You must register online by Monday, September 3 to receive a free 5K t-shirt. Go to http://www.hesperiaparks.com/hesperia-days-2012/ and click "Hesperia Days 5K REGISTRATION." On the next page, click Activity #01, "HespDays 5K Walk/Stroller/Skate-Coed." Add it to your cart (even though it is free) and create a login account to finish your registration. Please let us know if you plan to participate so we coordinate the skaters. Hope to see you all there! This information is also on the team website.

Velocity skaters had a strong showing at the annual Hesperia Days 5k, and even our tiniest athletes stuck it out to finish strong! They made it into the newspaper (on the cover, actually) and starred in the city's video of the event. Well done guys!
