2002 Volkswagen Key Fob Programmed To The Car. As this key is turned inside the ignition cylinder the cars anti-theft control module sends a signal to the key and waits for the key's chip to respond. Now since we just programmed this keys radio frequency id chip to the system, when that signal is returned the engine will turn over and the car will stay running. This 2003 Honda Odyssey was towed into our shop with the ignition key stuck and wouldn't turn. So we took the lock cylinder out. We replaced the worn tumblers. Honda pilot 2005. Had some technical difficulties with their remote until we used our frequency tester. We then found out exactly what the problem was. They were using the wrong remote for their car. It worked for unlock. But when it came to lock and panic it was sending out a frequency that the car wasn't picking up. So we had to fix that and order them the correct remote. Thank you technology.
