Dearest VCP followers, I am leaving the Valley Contemporary Poets, but have so greatly enjoyed my time with all the wonderful readers and listeners who came out to support us. I've met talented poets, established true friendships, and learned a lot from all of you. I may start up something of my own in the future, but for now I will be focusing on my own work. The fundraising event of 2013 showed me how important the VCP is to the community, and how essential you are to u...s as well. We could not have held all the readings of 2013 without your generous support. It was heartwarming to see everyone come together and help us continue. Richard Modiano of Beyond Baroque deserves a special thank you for hosting the VCP over the last many months. Thank you, Richard! The VCP is in the very capable hands of Scott Miller, Eric Howard, and Jason Brain. With love and gratitude, Sharon Venezio
