Yesterday our Women’s Ministry team delivered gifts to the Veterans who live at our Harmony Court Apartments. An opportunity for us to thank them, recognize their service, and let them know that they are not forgotten. Each Veteran received a gift card to Hodels (around the corner) for a meal, a Sequoia cookie, and thank you card. They were very touched for the recognition, but mostly enjoyed spending time with our team and chatting. If you would like to get involved in our... Even though this Ministry falls under Women’s Ministry, we actually minister to all 97 residents at Harmony Court Apartments (men and women), which are the low income Apartments across from our Olive Drive Campus. Today is the LAST Sunday to pick up your Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes at the info tents. All shoeboxes are due next Sunday, Nov. 15th. Pack some shoeboxes as a family this week and help make an eternal impact for a child around the world. If you and your Lifegroup would like to have a packing party this week, I have lots of fillers that I can set aside for you to pick up! Just email me at: [email protected]

Plan a wonderful family or Lifegroup night by packing shoeboxes for children in poverty stricken areas around the world. Pick up your shoeboxes at the info tents today, or stop by our church office this week! Shoeboxes need to be returned to the info tents or church office by Nov. 15.

Who do you wear PINK for? Every October our Valley Staff goes Pink for Breast Cancer awareness. It’s a day where we gather together as a team and family to pray for those affected by this cancer. A chance to lift up those in our church and community currently fighting breast cancer. Pray for those who have lost loved ones. Rejoice with those who we call Survivors. We all have been affected in one way or another by breast cancer touching someone close to us. But as a staf...f, these past couple of years have hit too close to home. Our own Karie C. fought breast cancer head on recently, and currently our sweet Jan K. is right in the middle of this fight. Both women have and continue to lean on the Lord for their strength. As a church family we will continue to pray for all that are in the battle right now. Please know that you are not alone and we are here for you. Did you know at Valley Baptist Church we have a Women’s Ministry support group called the Karing Korner for those battling any form of cancer, or for women who are caregivers of a loved one batting cancer? They have a private Facebook group that they use in this season to stay encouraged, share questions about treatments, and just love on one another. Message us for more info. Would you join us today in praying for the women contemplating abortion? One of the tragedies of the abortion culture is that life in the womb has been so heartbreakingly devalued. To embrace the arguments of the "prochoice" crowd one must conclude that the child in the womb does not exists, isn't there, has no being. But nothing could be further from the truth. That child is known by God and, as such has being. That child was made on purpose with a purpose. Let's pray for th...e mothers to see and understand that. To know that there are other options. Jeremiah 1:4-5 Then the word of the Lord came to me, saying: Before I formed you in the womb I knew you; Before you were born I sanctified you; I ordained you a prophet to the nations.. Psalm 139:13-16 For You formed my inward parts; You covered me in my mother’s womb. I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Marvelous are Your works, And that my soul knows very well. My frame was not hidden from You, When I was made in secret, And skillfully wrought in the lowest parts of the earth. Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed. And in Your book they all were written, The days fashioned for me, When as yet there were none of them.

Ladies! Tonight, is our "Concert of Prayer" hosted by our Women's Ministry Prayer Team 6:30-7:30pm Valley Baptist Church, Fruitvale Campus with music provided by our Worship Team. Join us for this unique evening as we experience the display of Prayer Stations representing: 14 church ministries, 1 station representing our Nation & Government leaders, & 1 station representing personal needs. We will walk through the Patio visiting each station and praying for each ministry. You... will enjoy praise and worship moments with some scripture readings. The definition for the word 'concert' is usually associated with music; however, another definition is: "An agreement of two or more individuals in a plan." What greater plan, than coming together for prayer! Grab a friend and join us for 1 hour for this special and important evening. Don't forget to bring a light sweater as we will be outside. So far in 2020, our KICC Ministry Knitters and Crocheters for Christ have made and donated 202 blankets to the Bakersfield Pregnancy Center to be used as a way to minister to women.What a blessing those simple blankets, covered in prayer, given with the encouraging words of those at the BPC have been to women during a crucial time. If you would like to get involved in this wonderful ministry or even learn to knit or crotchet. Come join this great group of women for community, encouragement in the word, and a great way to make an impact in our community. KICC meets Thursday mornings. MomLife is TONIGHT?!?! Come join this great group of Moms and be encouraged by their guest speaker this evening! Tonight’s topic is all about focus! Being intentional on focusing on the ministry of Motherhood. Being intentional on focusing on what the Lord has called us to do. It’s sure to be a blessed time! So invite a friend and join us! If this is your first time, just come a little early to get registered. The cost is $10 for the year, and we are in the Felowship Hall. Check out the event info for all of the other details.
