Thank you to our generous community for donating gift cards to families of Vacaville Unified School district and Kairos impacted by the LNU Complex Fire. A very special thank you to Nugget Markets for donating additional gift cards so we could reach out to all sixty families in the district. A round of applause for Fleet Feet Vacaville for hosting our donation drop-off location and collecting gift cards on behalf of VPEF. We were able to distribute contributions to each famil...y throughout the school district just in time for the holidays. We are continuously grateful for our community, local businesses, and volunteers who help to strengthen the lives of our students and educators every day. We wish you many tidings of comfort and joy. Travis Credit Union continues to be a community partner providing financial education for our youth. Since 2006, Travis Credit Union has come together with community partners to increase awareness of financial aid opportunities for postsecondary education. Youth (ages 13 to 21) should RSVP now online at traviscu.org/finance-u to be entered in a drawing to win a new Chromebook and other prizes. This year, Travis Credit Union presents Finance U in partnership with the California Student Aid Commission, Immigrants Rising, UC Davis, Sacramento Area Youth Speaks (SAYS), #WeBelonginCollege and the Personal Statement film.

We share our most sincere condolences to our community over the loss of Mr. Whitman. May his loved ones find patience and comfort in their fond memories and the beautiful legacy he leaves behind. He was amazing man who touched many lives and left a positive impact on Vacaville public education. He will be deeply missed.

Teens can learn how to manage money and enter for a chance to win a laptop! Travis Credit Union has launched a Back-to-School Challenge. Before heading back to school, teens have a four-week opportunity to learn how to manage their money at home! All teens who complete the activities will be entered into a drawing to win a brand new laptop!... The first 1,500 teens to complete all four weekly activities will win a prize. UPDATED FLYER: The Student Nutrition Department at Vacaville Unified will be serving free breakfast and lunches for the 2020 Fall Semester! Here are our modifie...d feeding locations/options to help reach more students during distance learning. Locations and times are subject to change. 5-Day Meal Box- A great option for families who do not have the time to stop by a VUSD feeding station every day for breakfast/lunch. This option is available from 6 AM - 9 AM at an alternating school site, Tuesday through Friday. For more information about what's included in this option, take a look at the flyer.
