Urban Zen Integrative Therapy Accelerated Training / LOS ANGELES Begins March 1, 2019 at Yogaworks Tarzana The mission of the UZIT Program is to change the present healthcare paradigm, to treat the patient and not just the disease. ... Our program trains members of the healthcare and yoga communities in the healing modalities of Yoga Therapy, Reiki, Essential Oil Therapy, Nutrition and Contemplative Care. This curriculum is uniquely designed to treat the classic symptoms of illness: PANIC-E pain, anxiety, nausea, insomnia and constipation) and exhaustion. Launched in 2009, the UZIT training was created with the intention of empowering individuals to work side by side in western clinical settings; contemplating the course of treatment by focusing on patient, nurses and loved ones, while traversing the challenges of illness together. UZIT graduates have successfully implemented their training to meet the needs of those in hospice settings, in high-stress school environments, for senior/geriatric care, in rehab facilities, for drug and alcohol recovery, as well as in corporate settings. This training is appropriate for yoga teachers with a 200 hour certificate and teaching experience as well as doctors, nurses an other allied medical staff, preferably with previous yoga experience and other skilled wellness practitioners with longterm experience in one or more of the UZIT modalities.
