Thank you Redondo Beach Elks Lodge 1378 for the generous support and acts of kindness that really helps improve the quality of life for our veterans. The Elks provided our veterans with seat pads for their outdoor seating and can openers for their kitchen that makes their daily lives just a little more comfortable. They also donated pictures and mirrors for one of our veterans, Mike Henry-U.S.Army, that recently obtained permanent housing thru the diligent work of our case managers at U.S.VETS Long Beach. #ServingThoseWhoServed
Happy Halloween! The fun, creative and spooky decorations and costumes that staff and veterans put together in the Administration Office and in Permanent Housing's Plaza. The staff at the Plaza did an amazing job and won this year's decorating challenge contest. Dawn our permanent housing coordinator is a jellyfish, Cari our case manager is a scuba diver and Kathy our other case manager is a shark. #halloween2020
We gathered together on Wednesday, October 21, 2020 to pay respects and remembrance to those friends, veterans, and heroes who served our country: Richard Campbell, Army, 10/5/2020. Edward Munro, Air Force, 10/4/2020. Frank Aguilera, Navy, 9/28/2020.... Michael Parkhurst, Navy Seal, 10/9/2020. Elaine Benton, Army, 9/26/2020. Frank Munson, Army, 10/18/2020. It was a beautiful memorial presented by Chaplain Brenda Threatt and Chaplain Randy McConnell. There will be a memorial table and book for those who wish to leave a thought or prayer in the Plaza lobby until 10/30/2020.
Traditionally at our annual luncheon, drill sergeants were present and challenged guests to drop and give 20 in honor of our veterans. Now YOU can do it at home and challenge your friends, family, and colleagues to get involved! Help us push against veteran homelessness! #PushUps4Vets #pushupchallenge
Thank you to everyone that joined us as we livestreamed our 13th Annual Honoring Those Who Served Luncheon on Oct. 15th. We especially would like to extend our sincerest gratitude to this year's honoree, Community Advocate of the Year, Air Force Veteran Duke Givens. Thank you for your service to our country, and for being a champion to our local heroes. Check out Mr. Givens's story here, and you can view our entire luncheon program on our page.

Thank you Willmore Baking Company for the sweet gesture of chocolate cakes for our essential workers and veterans. These delicious, fresh-baked chocolate cakes put a big smile on everyone's face. Amy is our Program Assistant and helps with ordering supplies and aiding in the overall operation of programs to best serve veterans. #cakesforvets #ServingThoseWhoServed

Every dollar directly helps provide housing, employment services, mental health services, and other critical support services for over 800 veterans and their families every day at U.S.VETS Long Beach.
