In the last few years, hate crimes have steadily increased in San Diego and across the country. We will provide an overview of hate crimes, including the difference between hate incidents and hate crimes, the limitations of the First Amendment protections, the various hate crime charges in California, how to recognize common hate symbols, and current trends in hate crimes. *Registrants will receive email instructions about how to join the Zoom session.
