Update for Fall 2019: As of the start of fall semester 2019, here's what's available: a) Kosher meal plan through Chabad We’re now offering fresh Kosher dinners 3 nights a week. Food will be brought to the Chabad House on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday nights from a variety of Kosher restaurants in LA, including Jeff’s, Schnitzly’s and others.... How it works: Purchase a plan. Meals are being offered below cost this program is being subsidized by USC Office of Religious Life and Chabad @ USC. Available plans are a 40 meal plan for the semester (approximately 3 meals per week), a 25 meal plan (approximately 2 meals per week), or individual plans. At the beginning of each week, a form will be available to put in your orders and choices for that week. www.chabadusc.com/kosher b) Kosher meal plan through USC Pre-packaged dinners from Beverly Hills Kosher will be available for pickup at UV Dining Hall 3 nights a week (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday). To be on this plan, students need to sign up -- and be swiped -- for all 3 meals each week, whether or not you pick them up. (If you're on an unlimited meal plan, this makes no difference to you anyway.) If you would like to be a part of this program, please email [email protected] with your name, student ID #, and email address it usually takes about a week to be added to the list. c) Grab and Go - New and improved options are being offered through Seeds Marketplace in Campus Center. (Please share feedback on availability and quality so that I can pass them along.) The two on-campus Coffee Beans (Cinema School and Campus Center) are also Kosher under the supervision of Kosher LA (not chalav yisrael). d) Additional Kosher Food at Chabad Besides the Kosher Meal Plan, Kosher dinners will be available as part of programming on Tuesday nights at the Chabad House, usually at 6:30 pm. Friday night (7:30 pm) and Saturday lunch (12:45 pm) Shabbat meals are offered as well. Kosher pizza is served at Pizza and Parsha on Trousdale on Thursdays, and at the Lunch & Learn at the Dental School on Mondays, both at 12 pm. In addition, we offer full services and meals for the holidays (High Holidays, Sukkot, and Passover), and frequently at other programs. Café Chabad is available 24/7 at the Chabad House with snacks, coffee, tea, etc. e) Trader Joe's in the UV continues to offer a fairly wide selection of Kosher options, including chicken, meat, cheeses, many snacks, etc. f) Pico/Robertson: If you need help getting Kosher items from the Kosher supermarkets on Pico, we are generally there for shopping at least twice a week and are happy to pick things up for you.
