#ICYMI: In celebration of #EarthDay, USC Wrigley Institute for Environmental Studies, GRoW@Annenberg, and CPF hosted "Climate Forward 2021," a series of convers...ations around advancing climate change issues from Monday, April 19 to Friday, April 23. A slate of political figures, academics, scientists, policy, and industry experts addressed #climatechange through the lenses of social justice, business, communication, and politics as we looked ahead to the priorities of President Biden’s Administration. Each of the four days focused on a different policy area that is critical to advancing #climate change solutions. Thank you to everyone who joined us for our week-long series in partnership with USC Sustainability, USC Staff Assembly Environment and Safety Committee, USC Environmental Studies Program, USC Employee Gateway, and Unruh Associates. #EarthDay2021 Watch Day 1: https://youtu.be/n5MAaCkwCyM Watch Day 2: https://youtu.be/PUQ-wLG0Bpc Watch Day 3: https://youtu.be/X0p2gmBSWpI Watch Day 4: https://youtu.be/zMREQ4PkKCM USC Dornsife College of Letters, Arts and Sciences - USC POIR - USC Sol Price School of Public Policy - USC Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism - USC Marshall School of Business - USC Alumni Association - USC Political Student Assembly - USC Environmental Student Assembly - University of Southern California

#Repost @uscdornsife #TBT Emily Nixon (biological sciences '19) uses a GoPro camera to survey and record biodiversity data and habitat function of a coral head at a shallow water field site in the Bahamas. As a student in the Problems Without Passport course Tropical Coastal Zone Sustainability (ENST 483) led by professors David Ginsburg and Karla Heidelberg, she traveled to the Cape Eleuthera Institute with her class to investigate complex environmental problems in... coastal areas. Previously, she trained as a scientific research diver in ENST 298. For the past year and a half, Emily has worked as a scientific aid/technician at the Smithsonian Marine Station in Fort Pierce, Fla., and for the Nature Conservancy in St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands. She will be starting her Ph.D. in coral reef ecology at Scripps Institution of Oceanography this fall.
