USC recently announced a new Center for Advancing Sociodemographic and Economic Study of Alzheimer’s Disease, with interdisciplinary experts from USC, Stanford and the University of Texas, Austin. Established with a $4.1 million grant from the National Institute on Aging, the Center will be directed by Professor Julie Zissimopoulos and Price School Interim Dean Dana Goldman. Li Curator of the Chinese Garden and Director of the Center for East Asian Garden Studies, examines a selection of gardens from Song-dynasty (9601279) China that explicitly thematized both the sensual and intellectual pleasures of gardening.
