We had a "Change of Responsibility" for our Command Sergeant Major today! The "CSM" is the top Sergeant in the organization, and works hand in hand with the Battalion Commander to ensure that everything runs smoothly. Our previous CSM, CSM Nuells, handed his responsibilities over to our NEW CSM, CSM Provens, and in true Army passion we commemorated it with a ceremony!

Chief Warrant Officer 3 Michael Holland is a UH-60 Blackhawk Instructor Pilot and a UH-72 Lakota Instructor Pilot with some hair-raising stories to share. He owes his life to the reliability and durability of the Blackhawk air frame, and is not hesitant to talk about it. Beginning his Army career as a soldier in the Airborne Infantry, CW3 Holland learned about attention to detail and determination during the long process of building his Warrant Officer Packet, and has stayed in the Army because of the high caliber people he has had the chance to work with. Episode Three of Beyond Basic Training is LIVE! In this episode, we meet CW2 Nick Mowery, an infantryman-turned Aviator! CW2 Mowery flies the UH-60 Mike model, in support of Fort Irwin’s MEDEVAC mission. While his road to flying took him through Ranger School, Pathfinder School, Sniper School, Recruiting School, and Iraq and Afghanistan, there is also the option to go from Street to Seat.
