President Trump wants to end the right to citizenship for children born to noncitizens. The Constitution's 14th Amendment reads: "All persons born or naturalized in the U.S., and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the U.S. and of the State wherein they reside."

"U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) issued new guidance to initiate deportation proceedings for thousands of applicants denied for any immigration benefit. This policy change will have far-reaching implications for many of those interacting with the agency, but also signals a major shift in how USCIS operates."

Trump ends DACA. This program created work authorization for children who arrived to the US before they turned 16. This is what memorandum states in short: 1) if you currently have DACA, you are allowed to work, and your DACA remains valid until your EAD expires; 2) If you have not applied for DACA you are no longer eligible to apply (if your your application is pending as of today, it will be processed; 3) If your DACA is about to expire, you have until Oct 5, 2017 to submit the renewal request; 4) Advance Parole applications will no longer be approved, but if you already have a travel permit, you should be allowed to use it until it expires.

This plan would eliminate most of the preference categories including parents, siblings and adult children. Instead, "The legislation would award points based on education, ability to speak English, high-paying job offers, age, record of achievement and entrepreneurial initiative. But while it would still allow spouses and minor children of Americans and legal residents to come in, it would eliminate preferences for other relatives, like siblings and adult children."

Great decision from the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court. Police can't detain immigrants without charges.

If Congress does not pass a bill to protect DACA, it might end by a court order.
