Chiffons have slight stretch and rough feel. It is mostly used as an overlay but can also be use in lingerie and blouses. ITY A soft medium weight jersey knit. This fabric is suitable for everyday wear. It comes in a variety of prints. CHARMEUSE A lightweight fabric woven with a satin weave. The front of the fabric has a finish. Usually made of silk but differs from the latter in that charmeuse is softer and lighter in weight. SATIN A soft, smooth, and shiny fabric. Satin is considered a luxury fabric. Satin is well-known for its smooth and lustrous texture, the attractiveness of which has led it to be widely utilized. LACE A lightweight and delicate fabric. Lace is an openwork fabric, patterned with open holes in the work. VENEZIA A fine woven damask designed with a smooth glazed finish to give an elegant and refined look. WOOL Good insulator which is why it is mostly used for coats. However, other uses are for blankets, rugs, upholstery, and other types of clothing. COTTON A soft, breathable textile and is one of strong fabric that is easy to work with. POLYESTER A synthetic fabric that is very strong and durable. VELVET Velvet is a kind of tufted fabric and is made from silk. However, synthetic velvets have been produced recently. It is made of polyester, nylon, viscose, or acetate. NURSING WEAR Poly cotton poplin is the most popular fabric used for nursing scrubs. Polyester and cotton blend is wrinkle resistant and shrinks less.
