I would like to share with you more about Urth Caffé music, an important part of our Urth Caffé culture of which we are very proud. Music has been an important element of Urth Caffé since we opened in Manhattan Beach, California in 1991. I personally have built the music bas...e of over 4,000 tracks representing music from all over world and every music style or genre. This catalogue is the result of listening to hundreds of hours of world music, jazz, blues, R&B, classical, opera and pop and choosing the most inspiring and beautiful tracks without considering country of origin. In our view, the best music transcends politics and ideologies and we have striven to be a peaceful comfort zone for guests from all over the world to enjoy our heirloom & organic coffees, fine teas, exquisite bakery and healthy cuisine in an inviting atmosphere and friendly environment. Urth Music was compiled from many mixed World Music albums representing international music. I have never purchased Turkish or any other specific kind of music, nor would we select overtly political or ideological music. There is Arabic music and Middle Eastern music from many different cultures in the mix, but I personally do not know which track comes from which country. We have music from all over the world Africa, Asia, India, Europe, South America, Central America, North America, India and the Middle East truly to represent the Earth! I believe that art and music is love and transcends war, conflicts and politics. If we begin to ban music based upon politics, ideologies, there will be no music. The world has many conflicts but playing beautiful music from all countries is an expression of love and a desire for peace. Let’s also acknowledge that the artists and musicians from each country are usually the ones that transcend war and are a sign of peace and love. Let’s not ban beautiful art and music at Urth Caffé.
