SB-363 Opposition Campaign: April 9-April 13 The American Legion Auxiliary Department of California needs the immediate assistance of membership in the following Districts: 1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 7, 9, 10, 11, 13, 21 and 25 in expressing opposition to SB-363 which will be heard in the State Senate Education Committee on Wednesday, April 14 at 9:00 a.m.... Importance: Very High This bill would repeal our exemption allowing single gender attendance at Boys State and ALA Girls State. Implications: If passed and enacted, we would be restricted from getting assistance from schools in recruiting Delegates. This could have a major negative impact on our Boys State Program and the ALA Girls State Program. Call to Action: District Presidents in the Districts mentioned above immediately conduct a call or virtual meeting with your Unit Presidents and ALA Girls State Chairpersons and ALA Girls State District Chairpersons and mobilize members to call their State Senator and express their opposition to the Bill.
