Dear Farmers’ Market Friends, Due to the extension of the Shelter in Place order, we have decided to delay the opening of the Uptown Oakland Farmers Market to a later date that has yet to be determined. As a non-profit whose mission is to connect Bay Area communities with local farms, we do not take this decision lightly. But given the challenges of safely operating a farmers’ market at this time, we believe this decision is in the best interest of our farmers and the communi...ty. Please help us support local farmers through this difficult time by writing Governor Newsom, your local County Health Department, and your city officials to allow farmers’ markets to operate as an exception to the Governor’s executive order like grocery stores.
