During this extreme hot weather it is VERY IMPORTANT to keep your pets inside!! They very easily can get heatstroke and that should be taken very seriously! It is simply not enough they have shade outside when temperatures reach 100 + degrees. Here is a chart with things to look for in your pet. And if in any doubt - BRING YOUR PET TO YOUR VETERINARIAN!
Today we got this beautiful handcrafted leach/key/coat hanger from a client who’s dog we took care of for a couple of weeks. Thank you so much Brittney and Phantom- we love it and will enjoy it for many years to come!
During these challenging COVID-19 times we need something that will bring a smile to our faces And what can possibly do that any better than our pets. Especially now where we are spending much more time with them than before COVID-19. They help us keep our sanity through it all. The picture shows Bella and Marceline sleeping together on the couch. They are Dr Helsted’s newly adopted kittens. There are a total of 6 pets at the Helsted residence Show us a pic...ture of your pet See more
Dear Fellow Americans and Clients of ours. Please remember to wear a face mask/covering for your protection and ours when you visit our hospital in the foreseeable future. As you know, we are trying to fight and outsmart this new elusive enemy that cannot be seen or heard, and as long as these unprecedented times continue we all need to do our part, even if it makes all of us look like bank robbers.... If you do not have any face coverings we will be happy to come to your car and get your pet. Please be really careful out there - we are in this together.
This is the new normal for all of us at Upland Animal Hospital- we will from now on all be wearing masks and gloves. We are limiting our waiting area to 2 people in addition to individuals in exam rooms. Should you have any questions or concerns never hesitate to call us at 909-982-8854. Stay safe! Sincerely, Dr Helsted and Staff

This cute kitten Bella had a lot of black gunk in her ears. Dr suspected ear mites - and sure enough, he was right. Bella had an ear clean and medicine was put into the ears to get rid of those little critters. How many ear mites can you spot?
