Remembering KPFA producer, poet and scholar Adam David Miller. Former KPFA producer, poet and Laney college instructor Adam David Miller, known as AD, passed away at his Berkeley home on November 4, 2020 at the age of 98. AD’s first memoir, Ticket to Exile, recalled being jailed at the age of 19 for passing a note to a white girl. As co-founder of Mina Press and founder of Eshu House Publishing, AD was always looking for diverse voices to publish. He was honored at age 90 by ...the City of Berkeley for his poetic worksAnd also won the Oakland PEN lifetime achievement award at which he read his signature poem, Keep Sending Love Out. Stanford University acquired his papers three years ago. Adam David Miller is survived by his wife Elise Peeples.
