A wonderful and very fitting celebration of the life of Manuel "Chus" Barrientos took place in Colma today. We celebrated a man who represents our hard-workin...g, determined immigrant community, in his case from Guatemala. A God-loving family man, who through example and his artesanal bread shared the love of God through his generosity, friendliness, kindness, a wonderful smile and sense of humor. We will miss our tio Chus! He left us a good footprint of an example to follow, both in difficult time and in good time too.

The Funeral services, for Manuel Barrientos, will be on Saturday December 3 from 5pm-9pm. Burial service will be Sunday December 4 from 10am-12pm. Same place both days. It is with great sadness that I share the loss of our father. He was a great father, husband, brother, grandfather, and man of God. He started his bakery In 1983. Went from selling bread door to door in his car, to eventually opening his first bakery on 2704 24th st, San Francisco ca. He always told me that he felt honored and greatfull to be able to make bread for our community all these years. RIP dad, we love you. You are going to be greatly missed.
