The time before Christmas is a special season called Advent. Advent means a season of waiting. What if what you are waiting for is your awakening to the truth that your highest self is what you have come here to be? This talk is about making this season a time of spiritual preparation for actualizing your power, abundance, and joy-filled life.

This talk focuses on embracing the natural rhythm of nature. How would our lives be if we were not resisting or fighting against what is? As fall arrives it is a time of harvest and taking time to rest. What if we embraced life on life’s terms, embraced this time of renewal, and finding the joy in being in the flow?

When anything occurs in our lives that does not fit the paradigm of good happens, we call it bad and have thoughts about how bad it is, which creates feelings of sadness, anger, disappointment, frustration, embarrassment, shame, or blame. In this talk, Rev. Sheree gives us tips on how using the spiritual practice of "accepting all" can give you a new lease on life. Peace comes from acceptance and freedom comes from peace.

This Sunday October 25, Rev. Jackie Hawkins is our guest speaker. Her talk is entitled: For the Love of Prayer. Rev. Jackie says, "Prayer can be viewed as our ability to connect with our divine essence. When we pray we raise the vibrations of our heart and mind. By doing so, everything that is part of our sphere of possibility is affected for the good. In this time of multiple challenges that are affecting the individual and collective health of our country and our world, we ...are being guided to listen and to pray in many forms unceasingly." Affirmation: I raise the vibrations of my country and the world as I pray. Rev. Jackie Hawkins is an ordained Unity minister, and has served Unity in many capacities. Currently, she serves on Unity Worldwide Ministries’ Admissions Team and its Leadership Recruitment and Development Team. Rev. Jackie also served as senior minister of Unity of the Heartland in Olathe, Kansas and now makes San Marcos, California her home. Prior to becoming an ordained Unity minister, Rev. Jackie had a long career in New York State government in human resources management and administration. Rev. Jackie has a Master’s of Divinity from Unity Institute and Seminary, a Master’s degree in Public Policy from the State University of New York at Albany (Albany, New York) and a Bachelor’s of Science degree from Western Michigan University (Kalamazoo, Michigan); and attended Spelman College in Atlanta, Georgia.
