Ok Seems like folks are taking a holiday. I had the pleasure of stumbling upon a local Hahamokngna Center yesterday where I learned a lot about many of the local indigenous peoples here in SoCal. ... Maca and I gathered acorns, and are going to try and make some acorn flour for baking. This particular center is located on the 2 highway in the Angeles National Forest at the Red Box picnic area. I recommend getting out and experiencing some of these remarkable local traditions and knowledge. So, in honor of the first ever Indigenous Peoples Day here in L.A. UCAinLA is not having class.

All UCAinLA students, big and small, and their families and friends are invited! We'll be commemorating new students that have been training since our last celebration in December.
